All that twitters
There's room for one more on the Twitternet, right? I don't take up much space.
Though my blog posts and writing do. It should be interesting, trying to express myself in 140 characters or less. Facebook got me down to brief paragraphs, but this feels more like crisp soundbites.
And although I'm very pro-technology in principle, it's a different matter in practice. I'm still more comfortable with print media than e-books, for instance, so I feel at sea when it comes to Twitter. Though I already have a mental list of people to follow, so that's a start.
Fair warning if you decide to follow me, though - I sometimes make terrible medical-science-related puns. Like, "If you donate blood to someone but it doesn't help them, was the donation in vein?"

I'm following you now. Now I'll be waiting for your really bad puns. LOL.
I still prefer print to digital, but I've become quite fond of Twitter! I hope you also find it enjoyable. For my part, I said, "FINE! I'll sign up!" I didn't expect to use it. A few years later, it's now rare for me to end a day having tweeted less than a dozen times!
Fewer than a dozen times, even ;)
One thing you'll probably come to appreciate about Twitter is how well it works as a vehicle for shameless self-promotion. For example: if blogspot works like wordpress, there may be an option to automatically tweet a link to any new post, so anyone following you will know when a new post goes up. If not, run the permalink through bit.ly and send it out manually. To take this a step further, there is an app for Facebook that automatically creates a Facbook post out of all your tweets...
Welcome to the Twitterverse. Great way to connect to writing blogs.
Maria - Thanks for the follow. :)
Deb - To be honest, I signed up because my friends urged me to (they also insisted I get on Facebook and that worked out well for me, so I decided to give this a try). I need to master the use of hashtags.
JH - There probably is a way to create an automatic link-tweet. I haven't figured it out yet, though.
ralfast - A day late and a dollar short, but I'm finally here. :)
Following you! I like bad puns.
I'm @jetlbomb
Thanks!
The latest was when we were in histotechnology lab, using stains (dyes) on tissues so they could be seen clearly under the microscope. I asked my partner, "If a color remains in the tissue for a really long time, does that mean it has stain power?"
