Midterms

Midterm exams came down like a sledgehammer - three of them this week and three more next week - so I probably won't be updating my blog until those are done. I have some topics in mind, so once I do have a block of guilt-free time, the posts should flow.

And the midterms will be done by the start of November, which is when I want to try NaNo for the first time.

Best of all, I got my Clinical Chemistry marks back already, and although I was worried about them, I did well. What a relief.

Hope everyone else is having a good week!

  1. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great.

My husband said that when I used to study for finals, I would talk in my sleep, repeating facts and dates to my art history classes. LOL.

It was the one I always worried about because the prof was so tough. Yet the one I always aced. Go figure.

  4. Thank you! The Hematology practical midterm is today - white blood cell identification. Next week there's micro-anatomy, pathophysiology and the microbiology practical.

I love these subjects, but I'm not getting a whole lot of sleep at night. :)

  7. Congrats on the chem scores...I am proud of anyone who is a chem buff because I battled through it, personally!

  8. Thanks, Colby. I made a dumb mistake on one section of the microbiology practical and am still kicking myself over it. Oh well, I can only hope that I did well enough on the other sections to score at least a B+.

  9. It just occurred to me: a sledgehammer? Not like a wolf upon the fold?

  10. Good for you and I'm glad you did well! I feel a little sick when I think about our upcoming midterms. But not as sick as my students are going to feel...

And that's great regarding the test results you've already received. :)

  12. Well, the midterms are all over now and I feel a little better... but Anatomy was still a fiasco. My only consolation is that everyone else seems to have found it as difficult as I did.

Plus, the micro practical grades are back. I got a couple of points above the class average, so I'm OK with that. Got to do better next time, though.

And in the hematology practical I got 24/25. Yay.
